Prior to finishing, our doors are finely sanded to deliver a smooth, finish-ready product.
Choosing stain creates a more traditional look for your cabinets. Our Amish builders use an age-old, hand wiped technique which promises more consistent color and depth than sprayed stain applications. The process also provides superior grain penetration lasting 20-30 years. Doors are matched to a color sample for consistency throughout the staining process. Note that most wood species will naturally darken over time.
Our cabinet builders use stain colors from M.L. Campbell. The link will show a PDF of stain colors that are available. Keep in mind that each species of wood takes on a different look with stain colors.
Paint can create a modern, smooth look and more options for the color scheme of your kitchen. It is water resistant and easy to clean. We can match any paint color and also create custom colors. Valspar Paint's website is a good place to start looking at paint and stain colors for your new cabinets.
Glaze is a semi-transparent coating that goes on top of a painted or stained cabinet to create an interest to details that might not have otherwise existed. Glazing provides an antique, rustic country look. Our cabinet builders use glaze colors from M.L. Campbell. The link will show a PDF of stain colors that are available.
